Clipstone Press is a modern, agile publishing company based in London. We are focused on the ever-changing digital fiction market, and have over five years expertise in this space. Our business model is a little bit different: we understand that the rise of independent publishing has been so stratospheric precisely because smart, talented and hardworking authors are giving readers what they want, when they want it. Instead of releasing one book a year, some of our authors release one each month – allowing them to build a significant fan base far sooner than would otherwise be possible.
Self publishing is fun, but it’s not always easy. Handling market research, cover design, editing, beta readers, social media, branding, maintenance and launch advertising campaigns, building mailing lists and emailing your fans… Sometimes it feels like there’s no time left to actually write something! That’s where we come in. We handle all of that, letting our authors focus on what they’re good at, while we do the same.
Clipstone is always on the lookout for new authors. Whether you’ve already published something, or are a complete newcomer to this brave new world, we’re interested in hearing from you. We’re looking for prolific authors who are capable of writing a fantastic novel in six weeks or fewer – and then doing it all over again. We understand that this isn’t for everyone, but in our experience, genre fiction readers prize frequent releases. When you give them what they want, the rewards are healthy!

When you choose to sign with a publisher, you should know that money should only ever flow in your direction. We will never ask you to pay us a penny – and if you’re ever asked to contribute financially by another publisher, then understand that you, and not your books, are their product.
